History

The Union of Marash Armenians Student Fund has a history tracing back to the first half of the 20th century.  The founders were proud Armenian descendants of Marash who immigrated to America but sought to maintain the camaraderie with fellow Marashtsi's and Armenians. The founders not only valued their rich Armenian history and culture, but also emphasized the importance of encouraging the education, cultural and athletic endeavors of Marashtshi youth.  It is with this same spirit and philosophy that the Union of Marash Armenian Student Fund operates with today through the disbursement of scholarships to students of Armenian descent to pursue their secondary educational goals.
